Workstations

While our teacher is working with reading groups, we work independently in our workstations.

These are a few of our favorite workstations!

Environment Workstation

We work on science and social studies topics.  Trestin is studying

the life cycle of a flower!

Listening Workstation

We listen to our favorite books on tapes and CDs!  Ian and Garrett

are listening to their favorite story.

Games Workstation

We play our favorite games like:  connect 4, operation, bingo, scrabble, and legos.

Jose is building with magnets!

Word Building

In this workstation we work with words and parts of words

to build new words.  Audrey and Evan are sorting words by

short and long vowel sounds

Reading Workstation

We read our favorite books in this workstation.  Our books are sorted into

categories like: animals, holidays, fiction, nonfiction, or by author.

Bryan and Kaylee love this workstation!

Handwriting Workstation

We practice neat handwriting in this workstation.  Hannah has sorted sight words and is

practicing her neat handwriting by writing sentences with them.
