Dyer County Schools Pre-Kindergarten Registration Dyer County Schools will be registering children for their Pre-K programs on Wednesday, June 16th from 4:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m., and Thursday, June 17th from 9:00a.m.-1:00 p.m. at the Milton Magee Auditorium, 159 Everett Avenue, Dyersburg. Applications will be available the day of registration, or you may print a copy from the Dyer County Schools website. Your child must be four years old by August 15, 2020, to be eligible for the program. If you are interested, please bring the following information with you the day of registration: • Proof of income • Proof of residency • Child’s Certified Birth Certificate

Dyer County Schools will hold Kindergarten registration on June 17th 9am-1pm at all Dyer County Elementary Schools. If you have pre-registered for Kindergarten, but have not turned in the following documents, they can be turned in on this day at the school you registered. The following documents are needed to complete your registration: 1) Your child’s birth certificate (must be 5 years old on or before August 15th, 2020) 2) Your child’s social security card 3) The Certificate of Immunization form (if you have it completed) which is the child’s immunization record and physical examination record as well as a religious exemption portion, if needed. 4) Proof of residence If you have any questions, please contact the school your child will be attending.

All Dyer County students and parents: All academic packets, as well as breakfast and lunch, may be picked up at any Dyer County School between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Monday – Friday. New academic packets will be handed out Monday, March 30th. The packets will also be available on the Dyer County School System website to download and print. Students in grades 6-12, who have internet access and Google Classroom, do not have to pick up an academic packet.

On Monday, March 16th, the Dyer County Schools communicated that information regarding school meals and educational planning would be sent as those plans were finalized. That information is now available on our website under our COVID-19 section. http://www.dyercs.net/covid-19-information--4

Due to concerns around COVID-19 and upon Governor Bill Lee’s recommendation, Dyersburg City Schools and Dyer County Schools will remain closed through Tuesday, March 31. All extracurricular activities have been suspended until further notice. More information will be released pertaining to school meals, educational planning, and extracurricular activities as soon as possible.
